Frozen Friday
The Bun went out wrapped on a duvet around his snowsuit this morning.
Because it's freezing:

Not Northern Ontario or even Ottawa cold, but still, damn cold. Cold enough that yesterday, the wheels on the stroller were frozen and would not turn, so we travelled by sled until I brought it inside to thaw out. Meanwhile, I muttered to myself as I pushed my way through solid, frozen mounds of snow, "Three more months."

Yikes! So glad I left the GTO for the west coast. (Except for the lack of arts and culture, but hey, we are a balmy 2 degrees above this week!)
OMG. I wish we could send you some of our weather for a few days and that we could import a few icicles for water. I heard that we're going to have the dryest January ever, which is bad for water conditions.
Yikes! And I thought the -9 C. we had last week at night was horrid.
Twelve more weeks, twelve more weeks, twelve more weeks.... whatever keeps us going - right?
heh. yes. it is cold.
but seriously. I walked to work wednesday and to playgroup thursday.
no frostbite so I guess it isn't that cold.
I and hibernating this winter. I have avoided the weather at all costs. I got to the car and into a building and that's it. LOL
I walked home W and Th, and my legs went totally numb both days, and then swelled up! (I know, I know: why did I do it again Thursday? Damn healthy living goal)
When we brought Munchkin to Edmonton when she was 7 months old, she wore two snowsuits. At the same time.
Sad to say, generally we wimped out and stayed inside.
Except, of course, for our swimming. On Wednesday. There's nothing suckier than going outside after swimming with that slightly damp feeling that no amount of towelling and drying seems to get rid of into -30 weather.
UGH!
It is in the 70s here today. I can't imagine that cold!
not. gonna. make it. send booze.
Oh man...bitching about it being 30 degrees makes me me feel like a big crybaby after reading this!
I know. I'm so over it already and it's still mid Jan.
Sigh.....
at least the sun is shining to day for a change- slightly less depressing.
To me, the worst part is not letting the 3yo out to burn off energy. I'll take the freezing temp over a squirrelly preschooler any day.
