Okay, I've been off for a while, and now I can catch up a bit. So what's up?
I've spent all week with Misterpie helping organize and label his classroom and make him bulletin boards and being
But mostly, I made him some awesome displays, if I do say so myself. I used to do this for library displays when I had bulletin boards at my branches, but now I make some storybook characters for him to illustrate appropriate areas and whatnot. Mice, monkeys, rabbits, friendly witches, numbers, and a few homey pieces to warm up the room. The place looks fantastic, though I could have used another day to finish organizing the supply closet and the bookshelves. I even took home and

So what do I get in return? Besides favours and Tim's finest? This weekend, a big push to get Pumpkinpie's new room finished for the basics. Last coat of joint compound and a sanding, priming and hopefully, painting. Then I can start moving in furniture and doing the stuff I do. I will show you some of my favourite parts when I'm done, but not as thoroughly as Marla has been doing, because, well, I'm cagier than she is, apparently.

Meanwhile, it's been babies dropping everywhere! Scarbie has had her lovely little girl, and I couldn't be happier for her, knowing that this time around, her birth experience was waaaay easier. That is such a great thing for her, after the difficulties of Nate's birth. Go by and tell her your congratulations and get all gooey over the picture of her, won't you?
And? Last night, my dear friend Alberta's baby finally made her appearance! I feel like she's been preggy for a year, and she probably does, too. I don't have the full story on that yet, as we just got a quick email saying that she was here, that it was complicated, and that they were still finalizing the name. I can't wait to talk to Alberta and see how she's doing and I hope to see her soon so I can give her big crushing hugs. I'm an auntie now!

But on the downside, a couple of bloggers I love are having a rough time. Go give them some love and hugs, won't you, please? I think we all know how much the support and good wishes and virtual nods and hugs of the blogosphere can mean when life gets hard.

I am almost caught up on my bloglines (under 40 posts left, down from over 170!), now, so I will have visited you some time by the end of the weekend. And hopefully, I'll grab a few moments to write out some of the little point-form notes I have in draft and get a real post up.
Just thought you might like to know what's been going on!

Just reading about your 'vacation' makes me tired. Misterpie is lucky that he has such a creative partner.
Now, back to work and a rest for you! ;)
Yes YAY you! holy moly, that is one working holiday. I'm sure your displays are perfection and good on you for cleaning all the clothes - it's those touches that make you amazing.
Urrr, you *are* super organized. I bow down to your classroom management wizardry. What a nice way for Mister Pie to start the year.
